1-4
After I finished reading the first 4 chapters I realized that all the religious groups; Judism, Islam amd Christianity, they are all to blame for all the ups and downs of the city. From the readings it seems to me that the discussion of what is "holy or sacred" is a big reason for the fighting. All 3 believe the city is scared to them but do not respect the other groups beliefs. This reminded of the story Robyn told us in class about when she was in Jerusalem and went to visit the place where the last supper was held, and the two tour guides didnt want the other group in the room. That is a perfect example of people thinking that the cite is more holy or sacred to them than it is to another group.

I think that in order to remain peaceful everyone must remember to respect others for what they find sacred. For example, the room where the last super occurred might be a sacred because you are christian. But it also might be sacred because it is a historically religious place. Everyone should be welcome to sacred sites as long as there is respect.
